What is "Furniture Match?"
The Welcome Warehouse "Furniture Match" Program provides donated furniture free of charge to local families in need. Within the Dublin community, we provide a link between needs and resources - neighbors helping neighbors. Due to space limitations, we cannot store furniture at the Welcome Warehouse facility. Therefore, we match donations to current needs and deliver them directly to the family in need.
Items We Accept:
We accept basic household furnishings that are in good, serviceable condition.
The most requested items are beds, dressers, kitchen tables and chairs, sofas,
chairs, and coffee/end tables. Our most urgent needs are listed on our
Immediate Needs page. Please keep in mind that many families live in apartments
or smaller homes with limited space, so very large items such as a large
sectional sofa or an armoire are difficult to place. We cannot accept
appliances (i.e., washer, dryer, etc.) or electrical items (i.e., lamps,
toasters, etc.) but we will be happy to refer you to another organizations who
can.
How to Donate:
If you have furniture that you would like to donate, please comlete a Furniture Match Donation Form so we can arrange a "match." Once a match is made, a volunteer will arrange to pick up your item(s) and transport them to the recipient family. Sometimes the
"match" takes a little time, so we may not be able to pick up your donation right away, but we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Due to space limitations, we do not accept furniture drop-offs.
How to Volunteer:
If you would like to be a part of this important outreach program, we need your
help! The job requires a pickup truck or large vehicle capable of
transporting furniture. Please notify us by
email and we will contact you,
explain the responsibilities, and see if we are a "match."
