About US
The Welcome Warehouse is a non-profit, faith based organization that provides a warehouse of opportunities, goods and services to those of us in the Dublin area who are temporarily in need.

Our History
In 2001, a school nurse, Barb Sabatino, and a nurse aide, Judy Butterfield, fondly referred to among colleagues as St. Barb and St. Judith, of the Dublin School System spear-headed an effort to collect and distribute clothing, household items and furniture on their own time. They had distributed these items to families who were temporarily in need. Since then, others have joined in the effort. Storing and collecting items was a challenge and time intensive. In light of this, a small group of women from Indian Run United Methodist Church responded to a challenge to meet a need in the community that God would multiply.  They made it their mission to secure donated space and set up a year round collection facility. So, in July of 2006, the Welcome Warehouse began to meet the needs of more people in the Dublin community.

The Welcome Warehouse began in a construction storage unit donated by Tom Irelan, and is now located inside Indian Run United Methodist Church -- also a generously donated space.  Today the Welcome Warehouse has a full functioning board thanks to the involvement of Leadership Dublin.  What started as a clothing and furniture operation has blossomed into so much more including an Adopt-A-Family program at Christmas time, a Household Emergency Fund for referred families, and most recently a portable computer lab which is in the works.

Keeping the Founding Principles in mind, future plans will evolve with the ever growing needs of the community and changing demographics.  Community partners and volunteers continue to join in the effort.  The founders are sure of one thing, all the glory goes to God.
