Volunteer Opportunities

Adopt-a-family Program

This program matches families in need of assistance for Christmas, with sponsors seeking an opportunity to experience the joy of giving.

Volunteers are needed in November and December to recruit sponsors, meet with families to obtain sizes and wish lists, shop for families, and deliver gifts. There are many opportunities to get involved in this wonderful outreach.

Back-to-School Outreach

Volunteers help sort, package and distribute school supplies to Dublin school children in need during our August Back-to-School Outreach.

Mattress Delivery

Pick up and deliver new twin mattress sets to Dublin-area families in need. All deliveries are within the Dublin City School District. Our mattress sets fit easily into most vans, SUVs and pick-up trucks. You can sign up one time, or volunteer on a regular basis (once a month). Volunteers must have a valid driver’s license.

Welcome Warehouse Free Shop Volunteer

Our Free Shop provides clothing and household items to Dublin-area families in need.

The store is open on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month, and staffed by volunteers from 8:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. We are also open one Friday afternoon each month. Duties include greeting and checking in, assisting families with selecting clothing, checking-out and bagging items, tracking inventory, and restocking shelves. Free Store volunteers should be at least 15 years of age.

Storage Warehouse: Sorting Donations

We sort, organize and package clothing and household donations at our Storage Warehouse in Dublin. This typically happens during weekday/daytime hours. Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age. We can schedule volunteer groups of up to 12-15 people at their convenience. Youth volunteer groups must be accompanied by adult chaperones. Contact us at volunteers@welcomewarehouse.org for times and more information.

Bilingual volunteers help us communicate with Spanish and Arabic-speaking families who utilize our services. We also need help translating some of our documents into Spanish and Arabic. This is a great opportunity for bilingual high-school students needing service hours.

Welcome Warehouse is inspired by God's love to offer help & hope to those of us who are temporarily in need.
